Overview
At Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner Role at Old Dominion University through academic courses and clinical experiences, graduate students are prepared to meet the present nationwide demand for nurses in advanced practice, leadership and education as well as to pursue doctoral study. The master’s program in nursing is fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
Learning outcomes
Student clinical experiences are provided in a variety of primary care settings. Successful completion of the program qualifies students to register for the AANP or ANCC examination for certification as a family nurse practitioner.
