Szent István University's rich history dates back to the 18th century. With such a long history and legacy of excellence, Szent István University stands as a central pillar of higher education in Hungary and throughout the region.
Education
The University provides education, as well as pursuing research work in the fields of engineering – especially for the automotive industry -, IT, architecture pedagogy, economics, international relations, law and administration, social work, medicine and health, musical arts, agriculture and teacher training.

Opinion About My University
The university has a modern campus and a very friendly environment. The teachers are supportive and always ready to help students. I like that there are many international students, so I can learn about different cultures. In my opinion, this university is giving me a great opportunity to improve my knowledge and build a strong future career.
Good education
In my opinion the university sits in a very good place in city. The transportation is excelent, the trainstation is only 10-15 minutes with walking or with bus only 9 minutes. The university campus is very big and beatiful there is a lot of things you can do I think the teachers not the best but other than that I like it

Housing services
Right on the banks of the River Danube there is one of the buildings with its 3 wings and 1158 places of living accommodation. There are 3 beds, desks, a bookshelf, cable and Internet access in every room. Every two rooms have a bathroom with shower and a wash-basin, and there are restrooms at the end of the hallways. Every student has his/her own entry card. Your guests have to leave the building by 9 p.m.
Library services
The library as the university's educaton and research support background institution completely fulfills its job with its modern equipments. Education and research need the most scientific backround in the university.
Campus life
Our student dormitory is the main scene of social life. Friendships and study groups evolve here during the years at the university. In the two buildings of our dormitories there are 1620 places available. 40% of this is offered to the freshmen. Admission is valid for a year and it is possible to live with people majoring in the same subject as you – possibly your classmates.
Sports facilities
All students of the university have the right to enrol in the University Sports Club. You justneed a valid student card and to pay the registration fee of 3,000 HUF/year and you will have access to all the sport halls as well as enjoying all then following sports and sport facilities of the University free of charge: gym, swimming, aerobic, dancing, athletics, football, volleyball, basketball, handball, rowing, tennis, badminton, combat sport and ping-pong.

The local student organizations and the nearness to the university give you the opportunity to take an active role in vibrant social life.
