Overview
After completing their studies, mechanical engineers will be able to carry out high level scientific, specified technical, IT, business and project management tasks related to conventional and up to date materials- and manufacturing technologies. Using their acquired knowledge, mechanical engineers will be able to both research and develop as well as design and manufacture different machines and their components.
The Mechanical Engineering study programme from Szechenyi Istvan University prepares students to participate in and lead projects related to materials- and manufacturing technologies. Students will be also prepared to continue their studies in the PhD training programme at Széchenyi István University.
Job opportunities:
The skills acquired can help the graduates in a wide range of areas: in addition to traditional design, development and construction tasks, today's engineers are increasingly involved in project management, business and economic activities, facilities management, maintenance and operation, professional support for public administration and managing relations with people, communities and the environment.
Graduates in mechanical engineering are qualified to carry out mechanical design, mechanical technologies, manufacturing, maintenance and management, contracting and administrative tasks and to work independently on design projects.
