Therefore, Fontys University of Applied Sciences (Fontys) offers a service to provide students with assistance in securing suitable accommodation (i.e. a student room) for the first period of their studies at Fontys
Fontys in Eindhoven has several facilities in place that will enable you to gather information regarding your specific field of studies. This can be achieved in several different ways at the ‘mediatheek’ (Media Library). The Media Library is a learning facility where you can consult and/or borrow a wide range of information sources and materials (such as books, reports, videos and CD-ROM’s). The system that is in place allows you to process the information that you obtain immediately. It is also possible to peruse the catalogues pertaining to other institutes, such as the Tilburg University
Wireless Internet is available throughout the campuses, enabling you to bring your laptop to Fontys and to work, study, search for information and check your e-mail wherever you happen to be at Fontys.
Everyone in the Netherlands must have insurance cover for medical expenses. The type of health insurance that you will need will depend on your personal situation.
In the Netherlands, the ‘huisarts’ (doctor, general practitioner, GP) provides full medical assistance in accordance with the standards designated for the practice of medicine by medical professionals in the Netherlands.
Our international course programmes are conducted at our campuses located in Eindhoven, Tilburg and Venlo. All campuses are equipped with computer rooms, libraries and student restaurants. Wireless Internet is available throughout the campuses, enabling you to bring your laptop to Fontys and to work, study, search for information and check your e-mail wherever you happen to be at Fontys.
There are numerous studying and student organisations that may appeal to you during your time at Fontys. Please make enquiries at your Course Department, or ask other students for more information. Some of the student organisations are actually more like social clubs, whereas others place more emphasis on culture and/or studying. Please note that not all of these associations are necessarily linked to Fontys.

It is a very interesting study where you learn a lot about the business world. But besides that you also discover lots of cultures due to all the different nationalities, that definitely adds value.
The teachers are great, the programme is interesting yet a bit light for me at the moment. Still, it will provide you with all the necessary knowledge, prepare you for the working life and give you hands-on experience, while you also have enough free time for a part time job and social life.
I find that the practical-intensive study approach is a great one. I learn more by doing, than writing papers and reports on stuff. Most of the faculty at Fontys is pretty helpful, you just have to learn to ask. The biggest barrier is hesitation on the part of students in approaching teachers.
