History
Founded as the Bible Training School in 1918 by the Church of God, Cleveland, Tennessee, the institution was renamed in 1947 to honor its second president, the Reverend F. J. Lee, and attained university status in 1997. The original purpose was to provide both general and biblical training for those persons entering the Christian ministry.
Education
Lee is a Christian institution which offers liberal arts and professional education on both the baccalaureate and graduate levels through residential and distance programs. We seek to provide education that integrates biblical truth as revealed in the Holy Scriptures with truth discovered through the study of arts and sciences and in the practice of various professions. A personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Savior is the controlling perspective from which our educational enterprise is carried out.

Lectures and Activities
Lead City University is a top university in Nigeria, offering almost all the courses you may want to study. This spans across various Engineering , Medicine, pharmacy, Nursing, Law, accounting and many more. In terms of campus life, Lead City University offers various extracurricular activities, clubs, and societies that cater to diverse interests, allowing students to engage in personal development outside of academics. Lectures are very interesting and informative. As an engineering student I have no regrets studying at Lead City, the lecturers are very good at what they do
Freedom
Compared to many private universities in Nigeria, Lead City University truly stands out. It offers a flexible off-campus housing option, a vibrant social scene with student board-sponsored parties right on campus, and several canteens serving delicious and affordable meals. The campus also features a decently equipped gym for fitness enthusiasts, a beautiful learning environment, friendly faculty, and a sense of community that makes students feel right at home. Plus, with an 11 PM curfew, there�s a healthy balance between freedom and structure to help students stay grounded while still enjoying their university life.

In each of our beautiful residence halls, our resident directors, resident assistants, and resident chaplains are ready to make your on-campus living experience comfortable and fun.
Library services
William G. Squires Library is the central location for Lee University students, faculty and staff to find information sources for their assignments, research projects or personal study. The library is also a popular location for students to gather for personal or group study and offers a computer lab and a café.
Medical services
Lee University Health Services provide an on-campus, walk- in clinic that treats students with medical care upon need. Students are first evaluated by a registered nurse and then a physician appointment is made, as warranted, subsequent to the nursing evaluation.
Sports facilities
The Campus Recreation Complex consists of the DeVos Student Recreation Center, the DeVos Tennis Center, and the outdoor volleyball and basketball courts. Other facilities include the Carroll Court Field, Operations Field, Souther Field, and Mayfield Annex Gym. Campus Recreation offers activities and opportunities to meet the needs of students who are interested in their personal fitness, overall wellness or just having a good time. We strive to engage as key players in student life and connect activities with student learning.
Student clubs
Lee University offers its students more than 100 student clubs and organizations designed to enhance their spiritual, intellectual and social development. Membership in these groups is voluntary. Some organizations have open membership while others are by invitation only.
Accreditation
Lee University is accredited by numerous associations of our peers, and holds membership in several prestigious councils and associations:
- Lee University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award baccalaureate, masters and education specialist degrees.
- The School of Music is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music
- The athletic training program was awarded national accreditation in 2005 by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).
