About

History

Some of these independent institutes moved on, some died of larger cultural changes, and some were incorporated into Ithaca College when George Williams's tireless promotional efforts resulted in a 1931 college charter. But though we were now a college, our troubles were just beginning.

Student services

The Office of Counseling and Wellness offers professional relationships and support services that empower diverse individuals and groups to achieve mental health, wellness and educational goals.

Housing services

Ithaca College is a residential institution and guarantees on-campus housing for all students for the entirety of their undergraduate career. Students are required to live on-campus for their freshmen, sophomore, and junior years. See the Residency Policy for more complete information.

Medical services

The staff of the Hammond Health Center is pleased to welcome you to Ithaca College!  Hammond Health Center provides comprehensive primary medical care services for all Ithaca College students.  We are fully accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.

Student Life

Campus life

The Emerson Suites serve as one of the most adaptable and popular events venues on campus, hosting year-round activities such as student performances, trade shows (from Educational Technology Day to job and internship fairs), late-night social events, and conferences.

Sports facilities

Approximately 80% of the campus population will come to the Fitness Center at least once throughout the academic year. Students, faculty, and staff can use their Ithaca College ID card for free access to our equipment and facilities.
