In 2015, UNBC celebrated its 25th anniversary. It was in June 1990 that the members of the BC legislative assembly passed the UNBC Act, officially creating UNBC. The dream of having a northern university goes back much further, to the 1960s, when then-MLA Ray Williston set aside the land on which UNBC's Prince George campus is currently situated as a university reserve.
UNBC provides outstanding undergraduate and graduate learning opportunities that explore cultures, health, economies, and the environment. As one of BC’s research-intensive universities, we bring the excitement of new knowledge to all of our students, and the outcomes of our teaching and research to the world. In addition to fostering and celebrating academic excellence, UNBC is a welcoming place, with a learning environment that is friendly, inclusive, and supportive.
The Office of Research exists to promote and enhance the success of research by faculty, students, and partners of UNBC. Our mission is to grow capacity and opportunities for research and creative activities at UNBC by engaging our people and partners, leading to the discovery of new knowledge that has transformative academic, economic or social benefit for the region, province, nation, and beyond.

Yeas my study experience is good because i m study with honesty i have need to education its opportunity for me
University is very welcoming. As an international student, one of the main things to consider is the student-faculty ratio which is 1:7 here (that is amazing). We also have many resources available for extra academic support and guidance.
There were classes that had really good professors that made the class very easy to excel in. While in other classes I found it really hard to connect with the professor and the way they were teaching the class. But also I find it really hard to find interesting classes. There doesn't seem to be that much variety of humanity classes that I'm interested in taking.
