As someone who has studied and worked within the university, lived in every dorm on campus, and has switched to completing the rest of my degree online, I can say that WSU is a university worth going to. All three dorms are structured very differently to fit different students needs, yet they're all equally clean, well maintained and aesthetically pleasing. The Flats was my favorite dorm and the Suites was my least. My only real complaint is that the cafeteria is on the opposite side of campus from two of the dorms. The Academic Staff at WSU is extremely hit or miss. I've had fantastic teachers who went above and beyond in the duties, and others who seemed to loathe their job and their students. I had one professor freshman year that took bribes. Rate My Professor will be your best friend. In my personal experience, the administrative staff was incredibly helpful. I went through an traumatizing experience on campus that left me with severe PTSD. It was not the fault of the university in the slightest, but they still pulled out all of the stops to help me. If they hadn't done that, I most likely would have been forced to drop out of college. While working within the university on an internship, I learned that although they may be very flawed in particular areas, the administration is constantly working to improve itself. Besides all of that, WSU has a really welcoming and diverse culture. There are a huge amount of clubs and free events on campus. The university itself was quite supportive of LGBTQ+ students-- they even host a university sponsored Drag Show every year. It felt like almost every day there was a opportunity to learn or do something new.

My Journey Choosing the Right University Abroad
Overall, my experience selecting a university has been both challenging and rewarding. At first, it was quite overwhelming to compare different universities, programs, and requirements, especially while managing application deadlines and preparing documents. However, through this process, I gained a much clearer understanding of my academic goals and future plans.
What I really liked was the availability of detailed information online, which helped me compare universities, course structures, and opportunities. The communication from universities was also helpful in guiding me through the process, and receiving offers was definitely the most exciting and motivating part of the journey.
That said, one area that could be improved is the clarity and consistency of information across different platforms. Sometimes, it was difficult to find updated or specific details about requirements, visa processes, or financial aspects, which can be stressful for students applying from abroad.
Overall, I would summarize my experience as a valuable learning journey. It required patience and careful research, but it ultimately helped me make a confident and informed decision about my future studies.

I enjoy Wichita State University. The campus is really nice. I only wish there were more activities and events happening on campus. Most of the professors I have had so far have been okay. Very few professors here are exceptional at what they do.
We know you have a life outside your classes. Student Affairs exists to ensure students get the most out of their time at Wichita State, whether that means connecting you with resources to help you succeed, or connecting you with your people through involvement opportunities on campus.
