History
IE has its roots in IE Business School, which was founded in 1973 in the heart of Madrid’s financial district. Those early years saw the launch of IE Business School’s MBA and Executive MBA programs. As Spain opened its doors to the world, IE served as a platform for debate on business challenges on an international level. In 1983 the School’s International MBA was born.
Education
Recognized as one of the world’s top centers of learning, IE runs undergraduate, graduate and executive education programs at IE Business School, IE Law School, IE School of Architecture and Design, IE School of Human Sciences and Technology, and IE School of International Relations.
Research
The work of IE’s academic and research staff has resulted in many published research projects each year, in the form of books, articles in academic and professional journals, case studies and working papers. IE’s efforts towards knowledge creation have also been presented at numerous lectures, conferences and symposiums across the world. In many cases, research results are approached in cooperation with experts from other national and international universities and institutions. IE’s research experience adds to the development of excellence in both graduate and postgraduate study programs.
Career
IE and its Career Management Center have a twofold commitment. On the one hand they seek to help students take full advantage of their professional opportunities, while on the other they also provide the recruiters who hire our talent with support to provide them access to the profiles that best suit their requirements.

The Network is Real
Overall, my experience at IE University has been fantastic. I'm studying a dual degree in Business Administration and International Relations, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone considering this path. I started out on the Segovia campus, which I strongly recommend , it's a great way to ease into university life in a close-knit, community-oriented environment before transitioning to a bigger city. The school offers an incredible range of facilities and opportunities. Classes are engaging and discussion based, with a lot of group projects. That said, my biggest piece of advice to anyone considering IE: don't just focus on your grades. Yes, academic performance matters, but what truly sets IE apart is its network. The connections you can make here are invaluable, with classmates, professors, alumni, and industry professionals. Go to the events, join the clubs, put yourself out there. The opportunities are there for the taking, but you have to actively embrace them.
Great University for Networking
Amazing experience, definitely recommend this university. Starting my degree in Segovia, was very nice in terms of connecting with students from my year. The campus there is breathtaking and for art people, like me, very rich. Madrid campus has also a lot to offer, especially with the newly built tower. The campus is beautiful and the city is perfect for students who like to enjoy nightlife. For the classes, it is a perfect blend between theory and practice. Depending on the prof. you will be able to gain real life experiences. And IE is definitely a star in networking, which help me build up valuable connections for my capstone project as well as career.
My Ace Experience
My time at Ace has been genuinely rewarding. Right from the beginning, I noticed that the institute places a strong emphasis not just on academics, but also on overall personal development. The atmosphere strikes a nice balance between professionalism and friendliness, which keeps you motivated without feeling too pressured. What stands out to me the most is the practical exposure we get. Learning isn�t limited to lectures,there are plenty of opportunities through internships, industry sessions, team projects, and presentations. These experiences have helped me grow more confident, both in my academic work and in how I present myself. The faculty members are experienced and approachable, and they encourage active participation and critical thinking. While not every moment has been perfect, there are areas where things could be improved, like administrative efficiency.The overall learning environment is supportive and effective. Ace also offers great opportunities outside of academics. With student clubs, events, and different competitions, there�s always something happening that allows you to engage, network, and grow beyond the classroom. Looking back, I feel satisfied with my decision to study at Ace. It�s helped me build a strong foundation not only in terms of knowledge but also in developing skills that are essential for the real world.

Student services
Student Services offers you resources and information vital for your move to Madrid. From obtaining the student visa to finding accommodation, exploring medical insurance options or getting mobile phone service, we are here to assist you.
Housing services
IE has negotiated agreements with several student residences located near campus and will send admitted students an information kit including different options suitable for each student’s budget. Assistance will be offered upon request.
Library services
At IE Library we work to offer our users all the tools required for obtaining the best academic experience possible. We have specialized services for each type of user, and we are at your disposal for any inquiry or doubt you may have. The main resources of IE library are
Google Scholar , Research, Journals top IE, Online Press and Top links.
ICT services
The Information Technology Department aims to provide the community of IE with a secure, robust and advanced technological working environment, which allows students, professors and staff to carry out their work as efficiently as possible.
Medical services
All IE students should have complete health insurance coverage to cover any illness or accident that may occur during their stay in Spain. This coverage can be ensured by means of the European Health Card, for EU citizens that have the option of applying for it in their country of origin, or by private medical insurance. For the latter, our school has partnerships with several insurance companies.
Campus life
IE has delegations in 28 countries and teaches its students in Madrid, Segovia, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Providence, Sao Paulo, Singapore, Cape Town and Shanghai, among other cities.
IE’s Madrid campus is located in the financial district of the Spanish capital. IE students, who this year come from 128 countries, have the opportunity to establish contacts with major corporations that have European headquarters in Madrid.IE’s historic Segovia campus, where part of IE University’s bachelor degree programs are run, located in woodland close to the center of the city, which in turn is a UNESCO World Heritage.
Sports facilities
EU has agreements with sport complexes on the outskirts of the city, where students can practice a wide selection of sports. In most cases, when more than 15 students will be attending the practices, we provide free private transportation to the sports complex and back to campus.
Sports lovers attend formal and informal practices and games organized in official teams or individual players. Sports offerings available to these two different participants vary and you will be able to become familiarized with them in the section provided below.
Student clubs
There are more than 90 different clubs at IE. Networking at IE starts in the School’s classrooms and clubs and continues through the Alumni Association.
Each year our students and alumni come together to participate in extracurricular activities designed to enable them to broaden their knowledge, establish new contacts and lifelong friendships, and enjoy themselves.
IE Clubs are the umbrella structure under which we organize events worldwide, grouping activities according to functional area, sector, geographic region, or special interest. These clubs bring together people with shared interests and are a great way to combine management education with networking.
