Grounded in a rigorous and forward-looking curriculum covering international development theory and practice, management skills and data science, the program combines the expertise of IE faculty and practitioners from the UN system, development banks, NGOs and the private sector. Students can tailor their professional profile through one of three specialization tracks: Development Finance, Climate Adaptation and Disaster Management, or Human Development and Social Policy. The program goes beyond traditional aid pathways to reflect how development is delivered today: through a dynamic mix of actors, instruments and sources of capital.

English language certificate – for non-Native English speakers: we accept the TOEFL (minimum score of 95), the IELTS (minimum score of 7), Duolingo English Test (minimum score 130) or a Cambridge Advanced or Proficiency level. A certificate is not required if you completed an undergraduate degree in English. The validity of all previously mentioned English language certificates for IE’s admissions process is two years, from the date you took the exam.
