History
Since 1893, MCW has been a leader in patient care, research, education and community engagement.
Education
MCW is the place where you will learn everything you need to become a successful physician, and will embrace a quest for knowledge as a lifelong journey. It is also the place where you can choose among three campuses, several Scholarly Pathways and two options for the pace of your medical education. This is medical school your way.
Research
Science is the driver of innovation and knowledge that can change everything—from the way we define, diagnose, treat and prevent disease, to the methods we employ to improve our communities, to the types of training we offer to the next generation of healers, educators and researchers.
Through laboratory research, clinical trials and community-engaged research, we seek answers. We collaborate with local, national and global innovators. We question everything, and we persevere through every stage of discovery in pursuit of life-changing advancements.
Career
MCW Graduate School Career Services offers a diverse array of services to help MCW graduate students and postdoctoral fellows explore and achieve their career goals.
Graduate students and postdoctoral fellows are encouraged to begin using the services early in their graduate career, which include individual career counseling, up-to-date and relevant career resources, workshops, and professional development programs.

holistic Medical school experience
The University of Global Health Equity (UGHE) is a private university in a rural area in northern Rwanda. Once admitted, all residential and academic expenses are fully paid, allowing you to focus entirely on your studies free of any financial concern. UGHE is staffed by a faculty of world-renowned professors, including those from top partner institutions such as Harvard Medical School. Its equity-centered education has been one of my best memories. Community-based education exposes students to the reality of communities they are learning to serve. I highly recommend UGHE to all qualified candidates seeking an outstanding, equity-oriented medical education!
