The staff at Deakin are all practitioners which means they understand both theory and practice. There are regular seminars where students can mix with research students from other disciplines and this makes for a rich experience. The facilities are excellent and people are very friendly and supportive.
This is the first time ever I have been in a foreign country and the university has helped me cope up with my feeling of missing out on my home. The faculty here are much friendlier and are open to discussions with students at any given time. Overall a pretty good experience I would say.
