Overview

The Creative Writing in Spanish programme from New York University ’s faculty includes prominent Latin American, Spanish, and Latino writers who regularly teach classes and workshops and offer individual guidance to students.

The programme provides students with a stimulating environment in which they can develop their writing potential, master techniques of communication through intensive practice of writing within traditional genres (fiction, poetry, essay), and also engage in more experimental expressive techniques.

Writing Sample

Fiction or Creative Non-fiction applicants: 20 pages of prose in Spanish (fiction, essay, memoir; can be one story or an excerpt from a longer piece)

Poetry applicants: 8 to 10 poems in Spanish
