The Industrial Engineering and MBA programme at Louisiana State University provides high-achieving undergraduate industrial engineering students an option to complete both a Bachelor of Science of Industrial Engineering (BSIE) degree in the LSU College of Engineering and a Master of Business Administration degree in the E. J. Ourso College of Business in five years.

About the programme

Pursuing these degrees independently would take six or more years to complete. Adding an MBA to your engineering curriculum can position you as a bridge between technical experts and corporate leadership once in the workforce. The Flores MBA Program now offers a STEM designation across our curriculum. Incorporating a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) framework with core business principles, this transformative MBA pathway equips students with industry-specific skills to make data-driven decisions in dynamic business environments.

Bachelor's Degree: From an accredited U.S. institution or the equivalent from a foreign institution.1
GPA: 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale2
GMAT or GRE: Candidates must submit a GRE/GMAT score for a GPA less than 3.0. Scholarship and graduate assistantship considerations tied to GRE/GMAT performance. (Note: IE/MBA students must take the GMAT or GRE during their junior year and apply for admission to MBA at the end of junior year)
LSAT: JD/MBA students must also take the LSAT and be accepted for admission into the Paul M. Hebert Law Center.
Work Experience: Not required; two years preferred
Letters of Reference: Two letters of recommendation, preferably from past/current employers or professors.
