The Teacher Education - Practitioner - Art Education program at University of Tennessee Knoxville is designed for students who hold a valid Tennessee teaching license, are preparing to teach on the post-secondary level, or are preparing for careers that do not require teacher licensure. Non-licensed applicants to Education Studies concentration will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and must have a strong disciplinary background and professional goals, which can be fostered through participation in the non-licensure program.
The ASL Education specialization is for students who:
- hold a valid Tennessee teaching license, or
- are preparing to teach on the post-secondary level, or
- are preparing for careers that do not require teacher licensure
