The Master of Engineering in Construction Engineering and Management program at the Illinois Institute of Technology provides students the knowledge and background that will enable them to make decisions at site, company, industrial, and sector levels.


Students at the Illinois Institute of Technology will learn how to plan and schedule projects, estimate and control costs, make economic decisions, administer contracts, organization construction sites, manage construction equipment, analyze productivity, optimize construction activities, plan and manage real estate developments, and address legal problems.

Students will learn the principles underlying construction engineering and management in such areas as construction productivity, dispute resolution, and project management. This program prepares students to lead teams while managing the design, construction, and operation of sustainable buildings.

  • Illinois Tech requires a four-year bachelor’s degree conferred with a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0/4.0 (or its equivalent) from an accredited institution for regular admission.

  • Academic requirements: GPA of at least 3.0.
  • GMAT or GRE is required: GRE/GMAT is required, apart from Master of Public Administration. 
  • Personal Statement required
  • Letter of Recommendation is suggested, but not required
  • ACT Composite: 27+ (Must have 27+ in Math)
  • SAT Composite: 1240+ (Must have 630+ in Math)
