The Master of Professional Studies (MPS) in Fashion Management at The New School is designed for students who want to challenge conventional approaches to the fashion industry and advance their careers in the evolving world of fashion business.

About

The master’s program in Fashion Management at Parsons School of Design prepares students to advance and transform their careers in the evolving fashion business landscape. This one-year Master of Professional Studies (MPS) degree can be completed either on the Parsons campus in New York City,  or fully online. 

Students in the program: 

  • Learn to create groundbreaking ideas and approaches for fashion businesses, start-ups, and fashion-related services. 
  • Explore the balance of creativity and commerce, and address the crucial need for sustainability and social responsibility at all levels of the fashion industry. 
  • Graduate with in-depth knowledge of and advanced skills in global and local manufacturing, ethical production, value chains, marketing, and merchandising.

The dynamic curriculum features cohort-style learning and consists of a series of intensive five-week course modules. Students can complete the program either on campus in NYC or entirely online. Both formats allow for intensive interaction with faculty and peers and offer a schedule specially designed to meet the needs of working professionals.
