Welcome to the Arts Administration Program at Southern Utah University. We offer a resident Master of Fine Arts degree, an online Master of Arts degree, and an undergraduate Minor in Arts Administration. Each program is designed to blend a love of the arts with the professional business skills necessary to promote, maintain, enhance, and fund arts organizations.

About

The master of arts in Arts Administration degree track at Southern Utah University includes specialized graduate coursework that develop graduates who balance administrative systems with creative process in an effort to ensure the artistic integrity and economic sustainability of arts organizations.

Education

The master of fine arts in Arts Administration (MA-AA) degree track at Southern Utah University is a two-year resident academic and experiential learning course of study that begins each fall. The program includes 60 credit hours (see MFA Curriculum) combined with work opportunities through our professional affiliates: artsFUSION, Frehner Museum of Natural History, the Southern Utah Museum of Art, SUU’s College of Performing and Visual Arts, and the Utah Shakespeare Festival

English Language Requirements

  • Applicants to the Arts Administration Program must have completed a Bachelor’s degree (or the international equivalent) in a relevant area of the arts, business, or the liberal arts.
  • SUU Graduate Programs Admissions application and the fee
  • Official transcripts from each college or university attended (unless the institution is SUU
  • Resume including academic, professional, and volunteer experience
  • Three (3) letters of recommendation
  • A Statement of Purpose
