Overview
The School of Journalism offers master's degrees for students wishing to become working journalists in the United States or abroad, as well as for those interested in studying the impact of the media on social, political, economic and cultural decisions and events around the world.

The Journalism - Science and Environmental Journalism program at The University of Arizona is designed for students who have a journalism background as well as those who have no previous journalism experience. Full-time students can complete the curriculum in as little as one year. Part-time students are welcome.

General requirements
- A bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona or from an accredited college or university recognized by the University of Arizona
- A grade point average of 3.0 or higher
- Your statement of purpose should describe your goals and objectives for wanting to pursue this graduate degree.
- The School of Journalism requires each applicant to have a minimum of three recommenders provide answers to our online questions on their behalf.
