Accreditation
The MLIS program at St. Catherine University is accredited by the American Library Association. We are the only accredited MLIS program in Minnesota.

General requirements
- A completed bachelor's or graduate degree from an institution that is accredited by one of the regional accrediting organizations (e.g. Higher Learning Commission).
- Applicants with a cumulative undergraduate GPA below 3.0 must submit official scores from the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or Miller Analogies Test (MAT). While the MAT is preferred, either exam may be completed to satisfy the application requirements.
