The Educational Administration With Principal Licensure from Lewis and Clark College is designed for current educators and/or building leaders who are advocates of access to quality education and learning for all students.

You will graduate ready to take on the challenge of building collaborative learning communities, think critically, and make decisions to positively impact student achievement.

Key Features

The MEd in Educational Administration students bring varied experiences, values, and philosophies from their respective school districts, promoting rich dialogue in the classroom.

The majority of our students work full time as Oregon educators and attend classes at night during fall and spring semesters or during summer day sessions.

The on-campus program draws from the entire Portland Metro area, while the off-campus programs serve students in Eastern and Central Oregon, as well as in district-specific cohorts in districts such as Portland, Beaverton, Hillsboro, Lake Oswego, and Tigard-Tualatin School Districts.

General requirements

Admission to the graduate school requires the completion of all standard admissions requirements in addition to the program-specific admission requirements outlined below.

Applicants are required to write an essay at least 500 words in length. The essay is submitted electronically as part of the online application process.

Applicants must document three years of successful licensed teaching and/or personnel service experience in public schools or regionally accredited private schools.

Three Letters of Recommendation.

All applicants must hold a minimum 2.75 GPA (on a 4.0 scale), or the equivalent in their undergraduate degree.

Applicants must hold a valid regular teaching or personnel service specialist license. Candidates who do not hold an Oregon license, must submit a copy of your current license. If you are licensed in Oregon, please provide your TSPC ID number.
