About

The purpose of the Department of Chemistry is the advancement, interpretation, dissemination, and preservation of chemical concepts and knowledge. Chemistry itself is the science of the nature, composition, and property of material substances, as well as their transformations and interactions.

Overview

The principal objectives of the Department of Chemistry are (l) to instruct students in the basic principles and techniques of the various branches of chemistry, (2) to educate students and the general public in the importance of chemistry to the quality of the environment and everyday living, and (3) to engage in research and publication of new scientific information.

  • English Composition I, Microbiology, Anatomy & Physiology I and II and a Humanities course.
  • All of the prerequisite courses must be passed with a "C" grade or better.
