The Student Affairs in Higher Education program offered by Colorado State University is a 45 credit-hour program, offered through both on-campus and online learning formats, and is designed to be completed within two years for full-time students and within four years for part-time students.
The curriculum has 7 learning outcome domains focused on contemporary and foundational scholarship in student affairs; supporting student learning and success; equity and justice; systems, structures, and organizational behavior; research and assessment; self in/as professional; and, practitioner-scholarship.
Through engaging in critical analysis, critical reflection and praxis, and transformative learning, delivered through four core course areas, students will experience movement towards the student affairs professional competencies developed by ACPA and NASPA, the two primary professional associations for student affairs educators.
