Programme Structure
Thesis

- Three people, qualified to render judgment in the area involved, constitute the thesis examination committee: the advisor plus two other faculty members. Non-MAE faculty can serve as a co-advisor or committee members, provided they have a Graduate School appointment.
- The candidate makes an oral presentation at which the examination committee is present in addition to other interested faculty and students.

The Presidential Fellowship offers outstanding prospective graduate students an elite fellowship package to the top 10% incoming enrolled doctoral students each academic year. This competitive package pays a stipend of up to $43,000 USD per year for up to 4 years and includes summer support.
