The programme:

The Teaching, with Teacher Certifications in Preschool Through Grade 3 and Students with Disabilities (Preschool - Grade 12) program at the Montclair State University is considered a model for other colleges and universities and has continuously been accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) since 1954. The mission of our program is to empower our graduates with the knowledge, expertise and professional skills needed to become outstanding beginning teachers.
The program’s professional course sequence and clinical field experiences emphasize teaching for critical thinking and preparing P-12 students to participate as citizens in a democracy.
