General requirements
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a minimum of 27 credit-hours of history courses.
- Unofficial transcripts may be submitted with your application. Official transcripts will be required upon acceptance to a Graduate program.
- At least a 3.0 grade point average in upper-level history courses.
- Three letters of recommendation from three (3) undergraduate instructors (preferably History).
- An application essay (personal statement) of 250-300 words which addresses the specific fields of history you wish to study in the graduate program.
- At this time the Graduate Committee does not require submission of GRE scores.
- The MA Program does not require demonstrated ability in a foreign language. However, those students hoping to conduct thesis research in languages other than English need to notify the Graduate Coordinator.
