Overview
Key facts
Graduate Physics students from the University of California, Davis, have large efforts in condensed matter physics, cosmology, and high energy/elementary particle physics, with smaller groups studying biophysics, complexity, gravitation, nuclear physics, and physics education. Students in this program often travel to national and international facilities for parts of their Ph.D. work. Nearly all of the Ph.D. students receive financial support through teaching, research positions, or from external fellowships. Most students continue on to physics jobs in industry, academia, or at national labs.
