The M.S. in Biology (with thesis) at Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) is intended for students wishing to obtain a strong background in modern biology and independent research experience in preparation for a wide range of career options, or further training leading to the PhD in biology.
Students admitted to the Masters degree program in the School of Biological Sciences are enrolled in a non-thesis program of study. If a student wishes to obtain a Masters degree with Thesis, he or she may petition the Graduate Committee for approval along with support from their thesis advisor.
