Description
Bona Cress Press and Lawrence Press Journalism Scholarship is offered by the School of Journalism and Strategic Communication from Ball State University to incoming freshmen in journalism.
Benefits
This $2,500 scholarship may be renewed up to three years, if funds are available.
Eligibility
- The recipient must maintain a 2.6 GPA in order to stay eligible.
- Preference is given to students from traditionally underrepresented groups, non-Indiana residents, and/or bilingual students.
- If the recipient leaves the study of journalism, he or she will no longer be eligible for the award.

For priority consideration of all incoming freshman SJSC scholarships awarded by the unit, please submit the following online application by EOD (11:59 p.m. Eastern time) March 1 for the following academic school year. Applications submitted after this deadline will be considered only if there are any remaining or unawarded scholarships.
