Description

The School of Biological Sciences Taught Postgraduate Bursaries is offered for applicants studying eligible masters programmes.

Applicable programmes

Benefits

We are offering up to two bursaries for full time students that will cover all tuition fees. For most of our programmes, these are £19,100 for UK students and £40,900 for International students.

Eligibility

  • You can only apply for the bursaries once you have received an offer (conditional or unconditional) to join one of the eligible programmes and have either firmly accepted the offer or be intending to do so.
  • The bursary selection panel can only consider your application if you hold an active offer throughout your bursary application process (meaning if your offer is declined at any point up until the bursary decision deadline you will no longer be eligible).

As an international student, you will not be eligible for this bursary if:

  • you are fully sponsored by your employer;
  • you are already in receipt of a full bursary; or
  • you already hold or will hold a master’s degree or PhD qualification.

For UK applicants:

You must be a UK national domiciled in the UK.

You are care-experienced. We define care experience as any time spent in care at any stage of your life. Care may have been provided in one of many different settings, such as if you were:

  • in residential care;
  • in foster care;
  • in kinship care; or
  • looked after at home with a supervision requirement.
