Description
The awards support refugees, asylum seekers, internally displaced people and individuals at risk of political persecution, violence or conflict. Applicants may live anywhere in the world but must have regular internet access.

Eligibility
- You can apply for a DL Sanctuary Award if you hold an academic offer to study (or are waiting for a decision) and have at any time been forcibly displaced from your home and forced to seek sanctuary elsewhere.
- Eligible applicants may be based anywhere in the world and be refugees, people seeking asylum and people who have been internally displaced and/or who are at risk of political persecution, violence or conflict.
- If you have a background of forced displacement and believe you are eligible, please apply, and we will consider your application on a case-by-case basis.

Applicants must:
Apply for an eligible part-time distance-learning master’s programme.
Receive a conditional or unconditional academic offer.
Submit the separate Distance Learning Sanctuary Award application.
Provide evidence of their immigration status.
Submit a supporting statement covering:
Their educational journey and barriers caused by displacement, persecution, violence or conflict.
Their future ambitions and the potential impact of receiving the award.
