Description
The scholarship is distributed across all the global master’s programmes. The competition is high with approximately 1,500 international students applying for the scholarship annually.
Benefits
The KI Global Master’s Scholarship covers the tuition fee. Travel, living expenses and other costs must be met with other funding.
The KI Global Master's Scholarship only covers the tuition fee for students enrolled at a Global Master's Programme at Karolinska Institutet.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the KI Global Master’s Scholarship you must:
- have applied to one of Karolinska Institutet's global master's programmes starting 2026
- have paid the application fee by 2 February 2026
- be a first year student
- be a tuition-fee paying student (non-EU/EEA citizen)
- fulfill the entry and documentation requirements for the programme you have applied for

The application for the KI Global Master’s Scholarship is a separate process from the programme application. An application link will be published on the page when the scholarship application period opens. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
