Academic research
The faculty members in the department of computer science are highly supportive, always available for guidance, and encourage independent thinking while providing valuable insights. What I liked the most is the team-oriented research culture, where collaboration is actively promoted. I would definitely recommend this university to a friend, especially for those looking for strong academic support, a dynamic research environment, and opportunities for meaningful collaboration.
Psychology at Cattolica: Worth It?
My experience studying psychology at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore has been genuinely meaningful for both my academic and personal development. What I appreciated the most is the strong focus on psychodynamic aspects of psychology, which I found particularly engaging. Courses like Clinical Psychology, Psychodynamics, and Clinical Interviewing helped me go beyond surface explanations and really start thinking about the deeper layers of human behavior, relationships, and internal processes. One of the most valuable experiences for me was the Practical Psychological Training (PPT). It felt much more than a simple course, as it functioned like a real internship. I had the opportunity to work with an active professional who acted as a mentor, and this made everything feel more real and applicable. Being guided by someone already working in the field helped me better understand what a future career in psychology could actually look like. At the same time, I also appreciated the theoretical courses, which gave me a solid foundation. Learning about the history of psychology, important psychologists, and key discoveries helped me see how the field evolved and why certain approaches are used today. This made the more applied courses easier to understand and connect with. I also liked that many courses included group activities and oral presentations. At first, this was challenging, but over time it helped me become more confident in expressing my ideas and working with others. Another aspect I really enjoyed was the international environment, as I met people from different parts of the world, not just Europe, which made the experience even richer. Overall, this program helped me grow both academically and personally, and I would recommend it to anyone interested in a deeper and more practical understanding of psychology.
Program is very dimensional
As I am a student in the second year I can say that so far the program although is very theoretical, it covers different parts of the communication world. When I first started, I didn’t exactly knew what I wanted to do as a career, but as I explored different fields through the program, I found my interest and my passion. I still have a lot to learn, but definitely this program is for people with multiple interests.
