Bogaziçi University Library is having 481.616 books, 79.921 electronic journal and newspaper, 3.256.021 e-books, 620 printed journal and 194 interactive database, 2.283 books written in Braille alphabet and voice-books. Approximately 4.500 researchers and students visit the library daily.

BU’s main Health Center (in turkish “mediko” or “revir”), is located on the Main or “South” Campus. It provides health services to all students, university workers and faculty members. All services at the center are provided free of charge to all graduate and undergraduate students, including all international students.
Many of the University's buildings are located on its South Campus, with the Bosphorus and the historical castle of Rumelihisar as its boundary to the east. This campus encompasses the oldest buildings of the University. The North Campus, Hisar Campus, and Uçaksavar Campus host the relatively recently acquired facilities and are at walking distances from South Campus. The Kandilli Campus, housing the observatory, is on the Asian side of the Bosphorus. Saritepe Campus, near Kilyos on the Black Sea coast is 34 km from South Campus.

Although I decided to attain my present university because of its enabling students to take classes outside of their specific major too, this chance was taken away when I was a freshman. So I couldn't really find what I was looking for in the sense of interdisciplinary development. However, in the sense of my ow major, I can say that the education has been satisfactory.
Definitely it's the best one in the country, in all aspects. Yet, the growing number of the students, thinking of the limited sources of the institution, is a problem.
It is definitely the best university in Turkey. Most of the professors are nice, and the courses opened each year are very comprehensive. My department, in particular, has taught me a lot about applied linguistics. There is also a lot of opportunities to get elective courses from other departments.
