Overview
Focusing on translation theory, criticism and practice, the Translation program from Bogazici University is designed to accommodate students from a range of academic backgrounds, as well as graduates in translation studies.
What you'll study
The program is open to all candidates with an undergraduate degree and proficiency in English and Turkish as well as one other language. Candidates for admission must fulfill the requirements specified in the regulations of the Institute for Graduate Studies in Social Sciences.To fulfill the requirements of the MA Degree in Translation, students must complete a total of 25 credits of coursework, including a translation project and a thesis.Programme Structure

General requirements
- Two letters of recommendation.
- A certified photocopy of your undergraduate diploma or a letter certifying that you have graduated.
- Official transcript of your undergraduate studies.
- Bank receipt showing payment of the application fee.
- Evidence of proficiency in English
- GRE or GMAT score sheet.
- The graduation grade point average you attained in your undergraduate studies should be at least 2.5 out of 4, or at least 70 out of 100.
- Applicants must write a “Statement of Purpose” explaining why they wish to take an MA in the field of translation.
- In order to be accepted to the program, applicants must also pass written and oral entrance examinations.
- Fluency in Turkish is required.
