History
From humble beginnings, Rotterdam School of Management has grown into one of Europe’s most successful and internationally-recognised business schools.
RSM’s more recent history in the 1980s and 1990s saw a decade of changes and expansion and the development of the RSM that we might recognise today. After 12 years in Delft, the school moved to Rotterdam in 1984 and became part of Erasmus University.
Education

A team of trained and dedicated career coaches take you on a journey from day one to guide you on your way to your ultimate post-MBA job. CDC services help you to identify and attain your immediate, mid- and long-term career objectives. Our career coaches will provide training to you in winning interview techniques, networking and presentation skills, and offer full-scale recruitment activities. The approach we have helps you to answer three key questions:
- Who am I?
- What do I want?
- How do I get it?
And, then, we help you to “Get it!”
That’s what drives everything we do at CDC.
Housing services
All successful MBA applicants can make full use of the services offered by the Rotterdam School of Management Housing Office. We have a range of basic housing options of various types and sizes available for students.
Specific apartments are available for couples, small families, single tenants, or students who wish to minimize costs by residing in units with shared common areas (such as the kitchen, shower). If you prefer, staff can also offer you advice about looking for your own apartment.
Library services
The EUR University Library includes approximately one million volumes, over 10,000 periodicals and access to more than 300 digital databases in all scientific areas taught and studied at EUR. In addition, Rotterdam School of Management has its own institute library, the Business Information Centre which contains a huge collection of monographs with an emphasis on management, marketing and more.
ICT services
The Rotterdam School of Management students are given ICT provision for the duration of their studies. You will be given a personal email account, an ERNA access code, which provides you with access to the university’s own intranet and the internet via permanent wireless and plug-in student worksites, permanent student worksites at faculties and in the University library.
Medical services
Everybody in the Netherlands is covered under private insurance and students have to arrange their own. If you are European, the European insurance card will most likely cover some expenses i.e. in case of accident. As an Rotterdam School of Management student, you can make use of Physiotherapy Woudestein, a small-scale private practice offering physiotherapy and manual therapy, preventive care and aftercare.

A recent construction and renovation project has given us a modern campus with a cultural and lively heart, as well as smart cooling, heating and lighting from renewable energy. It also gave us more student accommodation plus extra lecture rooms, study spaces and more facilities.
Sports facilities
The Rotterdam School of Management offers excellent sports facilities. For approximately €120 per year you can participate in training sessions and use all facilities in the sport buildings on campus. Sports offered include tennis, squash, rugby, soccer, squash, capoeira, rowing, basketball and other fitness activities such as Pilates, yoga and dancing.
The University’s Sports Centre has two sports halls, five squash courts, a fitness gym and six open-air tennis courts. All sports facilities are free during September. There is a deposit to be paid when you buy a sports card.Student clubs
Getting your MBA from Rotterdam School of Management is not just about the in-class academics. Our MBAs are pro-active in creating a rich life outside of the MBA classroom that is full of additional networking opportunities and extracurricular activities.
Most of these activities are overseen by the Student Association and Student Clubs. The clubs specialise in specific business areas or in hosting social and sporting events. They organise company presentations, panel discussions, informal meetings, full-scale conferences and many more.Accreditation
