The Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussees is one of the best French engineering school, and is specialize in civil engineering. I have loved my two years there for many reason. First, the promotion is at a human size (about 200 students) which give you the ability to know every one. The associative life is quite large and really accessible because of the number of student. You can participate to lots of different events such as sailing weekend, sport competitions, food events, parties... Moreover, the variety of courses is really large from financial, law course, mechanical to computer science and lots of others. You can easily manage to choose a formation you like and discuss with students and professors to make your choice. Thirdly, the alumni are really important and present in the school life, with conferences, job presentation, associative life supports, courses done by alumnus, etc. The accommodation is also a good part of students life with a first year building and for the second year, lots of apartment available near the university. The school's facility are quite well developed with sports fields, fitness center, library, a really good french canteen, lots of space to chill and others to work, a large hall to organize the student parties. All in all, it was a great experience, I made really good friends, enjoyed parties and events, learned a lot in the Mechanical Engineering field with also a complete formation on others skills. I recommend it !
