BENEFITS
The program provides a balanced mix of academic courses introducing the methodological and conceptual frameworks, primarily at M1 level, and specialist and applied courses at M2 level.Special emphasis is placed on the acquisition of modern techniques of assessing public policy (microeconomic tools, quantitative methods,…). However, all the disciplines that contribute to the understanding and assessment of these policies are tackled: history, political sciences, sociology, the expertise of government practitioners.
Most of the teaching staff are affiliated to CEPREMAP, to French government agencies or international organizations, and therefore play an active role in the design and evaluation of public policies. CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
The main employment openings are:
- Research and assessment positions in economics departments in France or abroad: DARES at the Ministry of Employment, DREES at the Ministry of Health, DEP at the Ministry of Education, INSEE at the Ministry of Economics and Finance, AFD, OCDE, FMI, World Bank Research Department, ODI, DFID, GTZ….
- Research and assessment positions in government departments and institutions n developing countries (national companies, monitoring organizations, NGOs, etc.).
- Academic positions in France and abroad, for example after a PhD at the Paris School of Economics, for students who have continued the program beyond Masters level.

General requirements
- Undergraduate degree: The master SIA is open to candidates holding a 4-year bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Economics (with high quantitative skills), Mathematics or Statistics.
- GMAT or GRE score (optional): Admitted students usually have a quantitative score in the 90th percentile, verbal score in the 80th percentile and analytical writing score is at least 5.
- Work experience: It is not mandatory to have any full-time work experience prior to applying to the program. However if you have any relevant experience, either full-time or via an internship, this will be considered as part of your application for the program
- References: Two academic or professional references submitted via the application website. If you are in the process of completing a degree program, one reference should be from your current institution.
