History
TED University was established by an act of the Parliament dated July 07, 2009 (legislation # 5913). The founder is the Turkish Education Association - Higher Education Foundation (TEDYÜV) which in turn was founded by the Turkish Education Association (TED).
Education
The University consists of five faculties: Architecture, Arts and Sciences, Economics and Administrative Sciences; Education and Engineering, and English is the medium of instruction. TEDU is a progressive academic institution offering an integrated approach to higher education and a high quality student-focused educational experience.
Research
TED University acknowledges teaching, research, and community service as the main components that form the identity of a university. The majority of advancements in the contemporary world are a result of research done at universities; however studies that focus on producing simplistic/typical outputs can only reach weak conclusions which do not have a significant impact.

Career
- The TEDU Career Center was established to assist all TED students in familiarizing themselves with and getting in contact with the local businesses and business leaders before graduation, as well as helping them adapt to potential professional demands after graduation.
- We do this by providing students with pertinent information and leadership skills regarding their career choices, with the intent to guide them toward the best suitable career paths. By taking into account their personal talents, abilities and interests, we help students lay out a plan for their careers while also providing higher education opportunities as they come along.

Student services
Starting from the time our university admitted its first students, a decision was made to form a TED University Student Council to allow students to directly share their wishes, complaints and views with the administrative organs of the university, and thus a founding council was formed with volunteer students.
Housing services
Our University has a student residence with 93 bed capacity for male students established in the 2015-2016 academic year. Our two - block student residence for female students with 392 bed capacity is established in the 2016- 2017 academic year.Our dormitories are designed in a way that will meet all the basic needs of the students. All our rooms include bathrooms and the residence offers common areas for recreation, studying and social activities.

Library services
The TEDU Ayse Ilıcak Library supports teaching, learning, and research at the University by providing a world-class collection of national and international resources including print books, e-books, periodicals, e-magazines, multimedia collections, and academic online databases.

Medical services
In case of any health problems, the students can benefit from the Health Care Center located at the campus and receive examination and first-aid service free of charge. In urgent cases the immediate treatment is done at the health care center and if needed transfer to the hospital is provided.
Campus life
TEDU campus is located in the heart of the city; equidistant to every neighbourhood of Ankara and next to the arterial public transportation. TEDU offers a serene and comfortable education environment with a specially designed architecture that motivates students in every aspect. Equipped with the highest technological infrastructure, TEDU assures students with the most efficient and effective technology. TEDU facilitates cultural activities in the student centers located at the campus and realizes a chain of activities like club activities, concerts, theatre performances, films and exhibitions.
Sports facilities
TEDU students can use the semi-olympic swimming pool and the fitness center located at the campus during the week and the weekends without any restrictions. Our facilities also hold a number of social and sportive activities organized by the student clubs and societies.
