Toulouse University was the second university to be created in France in 1229, after the Sorbonne in 1200.
However, it is not quite right to talk about the University in France from the Ancien Régime to 1896, as these were only groups of independent Faculties as well as a number of « grandes écoles » in Paris.
Toulouse 1 Capitole University is open to a large public and boasts a large portfolio of diplomas from baccalaureate level to Baccalaureate +8 years of studies in the fields of Law- Economics – Management.
Université Toulouse 1 Capitole’s academic foundations initially started around Law and Political science but the campus has gone through major scientific diversification in the 60s, with the development of further research teams focusing on economics and management.

Very good university although it is very demanding in my training! Good ambiance with other students and an all rebuilt and modern campus! Professors are very cool and are always ready to help new students. Besides, a lot of foreign students come to study here and it feels refreshing to hear the different languages. The university is just next to an underground station to get directly to the city centre.
This university excels in providing a holistic educational experience, marked by its exceptional faculty, comprehensive academic programs, state-of-the-art facilities, and vibrant campus life, offering students a dynamic and supportive environment that nurtures academic excellence, personal growth, and professional development through good teaching, quality education, modern facilities, and a wide range of extracurricular activities.
It�s an excellent place overall, and I had a fantastic time being there. The program is outstanding, and the professors are incredibly supportive, offering the focused attention every student needs. I�d absolutely give it a 10/10 and would definitely return again!
