The University of Central Arkansas (often referred to as UCA) is a public research university in Conway, Arkansas. Founded in 1907 as the Arkansas State Normal School, the university is one of the oldest in the U.S. state of Arkansas.

Student services

Student Accounts 

Our mission is to professionally assist students, parents, and third party agencies through the payment process and serve as the main monetary collection point for the University of Central Arkansas.  We strive to offer the best possible service consistent with policies and regulations.

We provide information, assistance, and education to students and parents so that they can fully understand the cost of attending the University, the dates when these costs are due, and the methods of paying the costs.  In addition, we provide documentation and invoice certain third party agencies who have committed to providing cost assistance to students for their education.

Housing services

You are about to begin one of the most rewarding and exciting experiences of your college career: living with other students. Living in the residence halls or other campus housing offers you everything you need for college survival, as well as many advantages. You will have convenient access to campus facilities, comfortable living accommodations, and a residence life staff to help you

Library services

Torreyson Library has:

  • 29 individual study rooms
  • 24 group study rooms
  • 2 group study rooms with overhead projector
  • Projector equipment can be checked out at the circulation desk.

Student Life

Sports facilities

COPA is located at the back of the HPER Center, next to the racquetball courts.  The UCA community can rent out camping gear, bikes and register for upcoming courses that will make you better prepared for your next outdoor adventure! Experience COPA and get to know the great outdoors!

Fitness:

It means being in good physical condition. We often think of athletes as being very fit. They tend to focus on performance-related fitness for sport. However, you don’t have to be an athlete to be fit. Doing more physical activity improves your fitness and health, no matter what shape or size you are. Making small changes in your daily lifestyle helps improve your fitness.

Student clubs

The University is home to more than 200 registered student organizations, with more forming every year.

Notable other RSO's include The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (N.A.A.C.P), Young Democrats, College Libertarians, College Republicans, Sigma Alpha Lambda Honors Society, Student Council for Exceptional Children, PRISM, Business and Information Technology (BIT), Computer Science Club, Model UN, Campus Dialogue, Pre-Med Society, Pre-Pharmacy Club, The Society of Physics Students (SPS at UCA), RUSH Collegiate Ministries, and a myriad of other religious organizations.

Accreditation

The University of Central Arkansas is a member of and accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) as a bachelor’s, master’s, specialist’s, and doctoral degree granting institution.The master’s and baccalaureate degrees in business administration are accredited by AACSB International–The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.The Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) accredits the teacher education program at the initial teacher preparation and advanced levels.
