The M.S. in Adolescence Education - Pedagogy Only (Grades 7-12) at Long Island University (LIU) is designed to educate and train new teachers who possess a strong academic background in core subjects. Acceptance into the program is contingent upon students having an undergraduate or graduate concentration (minimum 30 credits) in English, mathematics, history, earth science, biology, chemistry or languages other than English (Spanish, Italian or German). Successful completion of the 33-credit Master of Science in Adolescence Education leads to teaching certification in New York State and provides a thorough development of students’ teaching skills.
