Overview
The Psychology - Industrial and Organizational emphasis course at The University of Texas at Arlington was designed in accordance with the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology and Guidelines for Education and Training at the Master's Level in Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
The students in programme have the opportunity to be involved with a student-staffed consulting organization, the Industrial and Organizational Psychology Center.
The center was established in 2012 as an alternative mode with which to increase the knowledge base of the I/O students. By providing students the opportunity to acquire relevant field experience and to network with local organizations, the center serves as an excellent teaching tool in the development of I/O-related competencies, as well as a mechanism to develop sustainable working relationships with organizations.
Career
- Students who have successfully completed our I/O MS programme have found careers with such organizations as Korn Ferry, U.S. Postal Service, Walmart, Wonderlic, Deloitte, Citi Group, Baylor Scott & White Health, Allstate, Toyota, Goldman Sachs, and JP Morgan Chase.
- Example job roles are talent manager, quantitative analyst, business intelligence analyst, OD manager, senior instructional designer, director of ethical culture, HRIS manager, and organizational design and development consultant.
