Overview

The Journalism program at The University of Arizona allows you to tailor the program in myriad ways: Opt for a professional pathway to become a working journalist or a thesis option to study the impact of media on social, political, economic and cultural events; earn a dual degree in Studies of Global Media, Bilingual Journalism and more; add a specialty in Digital Journalism, Global Journalism, or Science and Environmental Journalism; and learn in real-world situations with practical skills coursework and internships.

Key Features

The degree is offered to students wishing to become working journalists in the United States or abroad, as well as for those interested in studying the impact of the media on social, political, economic and cultural decisions and events around the world.

The program is designed for students who have a journalism background as well as those who have no previous journalism experience.

Full-time students can complete the curriculum in as little as one year. Part-time students are welcome.
