About the program
In this Policy Studies program of the University of Washington Bothell you will learn to apply social theory, evaluation, data analysis, and policy analysis techniques to social change.
Through this program, you will become a policy leader and actor, equipped for professional policy work in local and state government, as well as private, and non-profit sectors, across multiple policy fields.
Our curriculum is designed on a cohort model with classes offered after 5pm two or three times a week to serve non-traditional students, including working professionals. We incorporate community partner projects to provide students with practical professional skills to advance your career while also serving local needs.

- The UW Graduate School's minimum requirements for admission include a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, and minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0.
- A statement of intent (2-3 pages).
- Statement on quantitative skills.
- A current resume, or curriculum vitae, showing relevant academic, professional, and civic experience.
- Two letters of recommendation.
- An academic essay/writing sample.
