The Master of Arts in Biomedical Sciences (MABMS) prepares students for careers as healthcare providers. The challenging curriculum trains students at the graduate level in biomedical sciences and provides professional development for students pursuing a variety of healthcare careers, including medicine, dentistry, physician assistant studies, and physical therapy, or seeking employment in the healthcare industry.

MABMS provides a strong foundation for students in the areas of pre-clinical science, healthcare ethics, and preventative health. The non-thesis master’s program consists of 31 graduate credit hours (eleven courses). Seven courses cover scientific foundations of medicine, two cover ethics and statistical foundations of evidence-based healthcare, and two are professional development courses.

completed a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a GPA of 3.0 or above
completed prerequisite courses for each of the core courses
placed in the 50th percentile or above in the GRE or 40th percentile or above in the MCAT/DAT/PCAT/OAT
successful completion of Organic Chemistry I and II, Microbiology, Cell Biology, Statistics, and one of the following courses: Human Anatomy & Physiology, Vertebrate Physiology or Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy
