The purpose and intent of the program is to prepare educators to become ethical decision-makers and leaders who can provide literacy-based services within an educational community.

The degree program is designed to provide educators with relevant coursework that will increase their understanding of current educational theories, research and practice.

Bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited u.S. Institution or an international equivalent
Minimum undergraduate gpa of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale (some programs may require 3.0); applications may still be considered if below minimum
International applicants: course-by-course credential evaluation by a naces‑approved agency showing u.S. Gpa on a 4.0 scale and degree equivalency
