Now more than ever, researchers and practitioners seek to understand the role of food and nutrition in overall health and wellness. Our unique multidisciplinary programme offers students advanced coursework and training including clinical research experience in the Center for Nutrition Research.

The nutrition science field is projected to grow 8 percent from 2019 to 2029—much faster than the average for all occupations. As food companies increasingly develop health-promoting food and beverage products, and as government agencies increasingly align public health objectives with regulatory objectives, students graduating with practical training and knowledge in nutrition science, with regulatory science exposure, are highly sought after.

Admission to the graduate programme normally requires a bachelor’s degree in nutrition, chemistry, biology, or food science; in chemical, agricultural, food, or environmental engineering; or in a related field.

A cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required. TOEFL scores of 550 (paper), 213 (computer), and 80 (internet) are required for international applicants.
