At the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (Online) program offered by Old Dominion University you'll gain essential knowledge and develop critical skills, including health promotion, health maintenance and restorative care. Telehealth and interprofessional collaboration is part of the program.

As part of the program, you must travel to ODU's School of Nursing in Virginia Beach. There, you will receive training or testing at critical points in the program.

You'll learn from ODU faculty who practice as well as teach. They can prepare you for current issues in healthcare. Plus, our curriculum will lead you on a continuous path from BS/BSN to MSN to DNP. You can earn this Pediatric Nurse Practitioner MSN and continue your studies in ODU's Advanced Practice Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program. Traineeship grants may be available to assist with tuition, dependent on grant funding.

Transcripts, translations and standardized tests must be official, sealed, stamped by the institution or testing agency and sent directly to the Office of International Admissions at Old Dominion University.
Testing authorities may include the Registrar or the Principal/Controller of Examinations.
When English is not the language of instruction, academic transcripts are required in both English and one's native language.

Once submitted, no additional documents can be uploaded through the online application.
A current unencumbered/unrestricted license as a registered nurse in Virginia or a Compact State.
A bachelor of science in nursing (or RN with a bachelor's degree in a related field).
Satisfactory completion of an undergraduate statistics course and an undergraduate physical/health assessment course.
One year of current clinical nursing experience, preferably post-baccalaureate.
