Overview

This Sports Engineering program at University of Miami aims to prepare students for successful careers in industry, academia, or government, or for further study in doctoral or other engineering-related programs. The educational objective of the program is to graduate engineers with advanced skills and knowledge in sports engineering and to train, motivate, and inspire our graduates to become leaders in their fields.

Mission Statement

The mission of the graduate program is to prepare students to become knowledgeable and skilled engineers and researchers with an understanding of the ethical and other professional aspects of sports engineering.
A strong foundation in mechanics, biomechanics, and human performance. Students will apply both theoretical and practical knowledge to real-world challenges.
Clear and effective communication is emphasized, enabling students to present their scientific work confidently through written reports and oral presentations.
Critical thinking and analytical skills are developed through coursework and research, preparing students to approach problems with creativity and evidence-based reasoning.
